Michigan SOW was concerned with rural development in the poor region of Mewat, located in Northwest India. The team worked with the Sehgal Foundation in Gurgoan. SOW members observed and documented the Sehgal Foundation’s model of sustainable rural development and its effects on the villages. Their model is a holistic approach to developing villages, which includes help in the areas of income enhancement, family life education, rural health and water management. The team held interviews with members of the Sehgal Foundation and also photographed their experiences in India. In addition to the work shown at the CGI summit, SOW UM is preparing for their comprehensive multimedia exhibit in March 2007
