affected region in the world by the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
At 39% percent, Swaziland has the highest prevalence
of HIV/AIDS in the world. Swaziland Youth Against HIV/AIDS
(SYUAHA) is an innovative grass-roots volunteer organization.
Swaziland AIDS Support Organization (SASO) provides
information, advocacy, advice and counseling services.
South Africa has the fifth highest worldwide prevalence
of HIV at 21.5%. With an increasing number of abandoned
and orphaned children, the issue of children on the
streets is a serious one; KidsHaven is a home, shelter
and school that work with street children outside of
Johannesburg.
