Texas SOW worked with Vital Voices Global Partnership in Thailand, a partnership raising awareness about human trafficking. Vital Voices Global Partnership supports anti-trafficking programs by creating partnerships among corporations, governments, and non-governmental organizations, including Microsoft and the Mirror Art Foundation. Throughout their month in Thailand, the Texas team documented Vital Voices’ efforts in combating human trafficking through education, job skills training, and protection of vulnerable populations, and witnessed the impact of public-private partnerships on anti-trafficking efforts and the importance their collaboration has on creating a sustainable and effecting solution to trafficking. The Texas SOW’s film and photographs documenting the work of Vital Voices will be used to educate the Austin community and will be displayed at the 3rd Annual Clinton Global Initiative Conference in September of 2007.
